Hi everyone
The season has flown by and the 3rd newsletter is already due - a sure sign of a busy
season! It has been a great couple of months with the low rains and thinning bush we
have collected some great trophies and the buff hunting has been very good too!

 

On the downside we drilled 3 boreholes in the east hoping that it would solve our
water problems, only to get 3 “dusters”! However we refuse to be defeated and have
done a lot of research into dam building and have been told on good authority that the
east will be conducive to holding water. As a result Plan B is being initialised as we
speak and we plan to put in several dams which we hope will hold water all year next
season. Time will tell but we are optimistic!!
Some other great news is the return of Richie Tabor from his years sabbatical mining
in Zambia- we are thrilled to have Richie back with us full time - as many of you will
know from past results – he is one of Zims leading PHs!

 

The elephant bull hunting mid to late season has been good despite the fact that
generally early season is considered the best time.

While every hunt is with our company is considered “the most important of the
season” our highlight hunt of the year was Bob Keeler and his beautiful daughter
Alex. They hunted with Alan in Kazuma for a double elephant bull and looked at
literally hundreds of eles before taking these two stunning bulls!!! With this in mind a
client of ours has had to cancel his September hunt there for next year so anyone
interested in a big elephant please contact us!
